Gaining a Day – and Giving It Back Again
An illustrated talk by Brian Mathieson
Twice in the past five years, Brian has undertaken round-the-world trips, essentially to visit family in Australia but taking in many other places along the way.
Brian will regale us with a tale of the pleasures of foreign travel: food, NFL, music, culture, travelling, and fascinating places – galleries, gardens, places of worship, museums, and palaces.
This talk will be of particular interest to those who are members of Plymouth u3a groups such as Looking at Art, Garden Visits, Antiques, History (military & general), Natural History and World Religions.
Monday 10th June
Marbles Lost and Found
An illustrated talk by Nicky Nurrish
This talk on Marbles Lost and Found will be covering mental health wellbeing, what is available within the community, for social interaction, how we can look after ourselves and others. To include plenty of time for questions, feedback on what could be done to improve what is out there to support the older generation.
Talks on Zoom
For talks on Zoom meetings
About two weeks before each talk all members will receive an emailed invite from our Meetings Co-ordinator, asking if they wish to attend the talk. There is a limited of 95 attendees, and these will be allocated to the first 95 responses to that email. A few days before the actual date of the talk, a link to join the meeting will be emailed to those confirmed acceptances. On the day of the talk, all attendees will be automatically ‘muted’ to avoid any interruptions from background noises.
All the talks on Zoom start at 11am, though you can sign in to Zoom from 10:30am.
No talks on Zoom currently scheduled.
