Day: 3rd (sometimes 2nd or 4th) Tuesday, Spring to early Autumn
Walking boots recommended, hiking poles, rain-gear, snack. Be prepared for steep sections & mud. Average time 4 hours. Help identify trees, wild flowers, grasses, birds and birdsong, insects, fungi, mosses, ferns, lichens, animal tracks and signs. Sorry, no children or dogs.
15 August – Dartington Estate. Join leader on Stagecoach Gold at Royal Parade
stop A13 at 10:40. Woods & river meadows.
Some steep slopes & steep woodland steps. Muddy after rain. 4 miles.
19 September – Gulworthy —> Tavistock.
Join leader on Stagecoach X1, at Royal Parade stop A21 at 10:25. woods, canal
– 3 miles.
October to April: no rambles during these months.

Day: 4th Wednesday Time: 10:15 for 10:30 start
There may be associated visits arranged for other times, e.g. observing bats on a summer evening. Members will be informed in advance.
The object of the group is to observe and share knowledge about all forms of wildlife, and enjoy an outing with like minded folk. Walking boots, rain gear and hiking poles are usually recommended, also a drink and packed lunch. Binoculars will be useful. Distances up to about 4 miles and up to 4 hours are estimates. Mud and steep sections may be encountered.
